All committee members are unpaid volunteers from Lamarsh and Alphamstone, most have busy day jobs and the committee is extremely lucky to have such willing committee members
Robert Erith has lived in Lamarsh and been a regular at the Lion for 50 years.
Formely in the City, Robert was a Director and Founder Trustee of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. Vice-President of Essex Community Foundation, Chairman of the Dedham Vale AONB & Stour Valley Partnership as well as President of The Dedham Vale Society.
He is a Lamarsh & Alphamstone parish councillor.
Robert was High Sheriff of Essex 1997/98 and is a Deputy Lieutenant for the County
Andrew is a property and planning barrister with chambers in Ipswich, Norwich and Chelmsford. For 20 years a Recorder (Deputy Circuit Judge). Has lived in Lamarsh for 36 years and is now churchwarden and parish councillor.
Has a firm belief that the pub is essential to village cohesion and wellbeing
Has run own business since 1978 as commercial insurance broker dealing with all accounting, tax and compliance issues.
Has lived in Lamarsh for 20 years.
Part-time IT project manager and full time mum to teenagers.
Julia has been in village over 20 years and has enjoyed many an evening at the lion.
Served as an Army Officer 1976 – 1989 after which he joined a company of tea brokers in London and set up his own company in 2005.
Ian has been a Parish Councillor in Bures, organised a major international weekend in Bures involving over 100 visitors from six countries and organises local participation in biennial twinning events
Lamarsh resident for fifty years. Church supporter and many-times organiser of the excellent Lamarsh fete.
